Lucy has worked in the medical field for 21 years, working closely with cancer patients, assisting in procedures such as biopsies, injections and port placements.

As someone who puts her entire heart and soul into everything she does, it is not only the invaluable professional background that Lucy brings to her role, it is her own experience with cancer that provides her the emotional depth and compassion she brings to every patient. Having watched her father battle cancer and witnessing the compassion and dedication of his team of doctors and nurses, Lucy was inspired. She became dedicated to supporting patients on their cancer journeys, easing their stress in any way she can.

Lucy says that she loves building a connection with patients and being an ear to listen. She says that her sole purpose is “not to let anyone walk alone on this journey.”

In her free time, Lucy enjoys hosting events, decorating and planning for any celebration. She likes reading, hiking, traveling, family barbecues and camping. She also loves creating fun activities for the kids in the family, especially during the holidays. Her family is her biggest support and motivation for everything she does, and her faith gives her strength.

As Breastlink’s Breast Patient Navigator, Lucy helps patients throughout the continuum of care, from screening and diagnosis to treatment and recovery. This includes assistance with care coordination, symptom management, education and more, to help them and their loved ones through the breast cancer journey.
