Dr. Linda Ling-Ying Liu is a Breast Surgeon specializing in the management of benign and malignant diseases of the breast. She embraces innovation and was one of the first surgeons in Phoenix to perform Oncoplastic lumpectomies, nipple sparing mastectomies, and minimally invasive brachytherapy radiation. By incorporating a multidisciplinary approach, the most current advances in the field, and a keen attention to aesthetics, she achieves optimal oncologic and cosmetic outcomes. Dr. Liu was voted “Top Doc” by her peers in Phoenix Magazine for nine straight years.

Dr. Liu earned her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she received the Janet Glasgow Award for Achievement in Academics and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor society. Following this, she completed a general surgery residency at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Dr. Liu’s vast experience spans a career of over twenty years, working at some of the largest breast surgery and oncology practices in Arizona, including her most recent position at Vincere Cancer Center in Scottsdale, AZ. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Liu has led quality assurance programs in Breast Care. She served as Director of the American College of Surgeons National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) for Northern Arizona Healthcare, and she was co-leader of HonorHealth’s Tumor Site Specific Guidelines for Breast Cancer Treatment. She was on the teaching staff for the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency Program and the University of Arizona Medical School.

She considers the patient-doctor relationship to be a collaborative effort. By thoroughly educating patients on surgical options, she empowers them to be confident in their decision-making and to actively participate in their treatment. She strives also to address the emotional stressors that can undermine successful care.
